This book is designed for everyone who prepares food for children and strives to make school meals not only healthy but truly enjoyable. The collection was developed by the Social and Industrial Foodservice Institute (SIFI), which acts as the CIS Base Organization for School Feeding, in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), as part of the School Feeding Programme in the Republic of Tajikistan. It features 116 recipes designed to make students’ diets more varied, nutritious, and well-balanced.

The publication brings together menu ideas intended to inspire cooks with new approaches and to demonstrate that healthy food can be both appealing and delicious for children. The recipes are based on national cuisine and have been adapted to meet school feeding standards and requirements. They include locally available, affordable, and simple ingredients, helping to ensure that children’s meals are both wholesome and organic, while preserving familiar flavors and supporting local culinary traditions.

The collection serves as a valuable resource for both school feeding professionals and parents who want to prepare healthy, balanced meals at home. It makes an important contribution to promoting a culture of healthy eating from an early age and serves as a practical tool for organizing high-quality school meals.

The book’s international recognition underscores its strong practical and professional value, having been honored at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the Food Safety category and with a Special Jury Award
